Before you begin

Some things you need to know

IPNC lets you transact and build credit in a very different way than a bank does. Take time to inform yourself before using it for anything serious. Treat your wallet with the same care as your real one — or more.

Your responsibility

Securing your wallet

Like in real life, your wallet must be secured. IPNC puts you in full control of your funds — and that control comes with responsibility. Used correctly, self-custody gives you very high security.

  • Write your recovery phrase on paper; never store it online or in photos
  • No one from IPNC will ever ask for your seed phrase — anyone who does is a scammer
  • Consider a hardware wallet for larger balances
  • Double-check every transaction and approval before signing
High-risk asset

The price is volatile

The price of IPNC can rise or fall unpredictably over short periods due to its young economy and sometimes thin liquidity. It should be treated as a high-risk asset.

  • Never commit money you cannot afford to lose entirely
  • Don't treat IPNC as savings or a stable store of value
  • Past performance does not predict future results
No undo button

Transactions are irreversible

An on-chain transaction cannot be reversed — it can only be refunded voluntarily by the person who received the funds. Once confirmed, it is permanent.

  • Only transact with people and organisations you know and trust
  • Always verify the recipient address before sending
  • IP Notes are enforced by contract — read the terms before you agree
Pseudonymous, not anonymous

IPNC is not anonymous

All transactions are stored publicly and permanently on Polygon. Anyone can view the balance and history of any address. Your identity stays unknown only until you reveal it. IPNC's credit scoring is designed around this public, portable history.

  • Assume anything you do on-chain is permanently visible
  • Don't link your main address to your real identity carelessly
  • Your repayment behaviour is public — that's what builds your score
Active development

IPNC is still evolving

IPNC is a new protocol under active development. Each improvement makes it stronger but can also surface new challenges as adoption grows — you might see higher fees, slower periods, or bugs.

  • Be prepared for occasional issues during these growing stages
  • Consult a technical or financial expert before any major commitment
  • No one can predict the protocol's or token's future
Stay compliant

Taxes and regulation

IPNC is not an official currency. Even so, most jurisdictions require you to pay income, capital gains, or other taxes on anything of value, including tokens.

  • It is your responsibility to follow the laws where you live
  • Keep records of your transactions for reporting
  • Consult a qualified accountant for guidance in your jurisdiction

Unconfirmed transactions aren't final

Transactions don't start out irreversible. They earn confirmations — each new block added on top makes a transaction harder to reverse. Polygon blocks are fast (a couple of seconds each), but for higher-value transfers it's still wise to wait for more confirmations before treating a payment as final.
